Focusing on Ensuring Children's Readiness for School

Tuesday, April 29th, United Way of Central Massachusetts hosted it's Annual Meeting and Celebration. Along with the presentation of awards, UWCM highlighted this year's Community Impact focus area, Ensuring Children's Readiness for School. In keeping with this focus, keynote speaker Dr. Valora Washington, Director of the Schott Fellowship in Early Care and Education at Cambridge University shared her insights and expertise on this subject.

How Are You Peeling?
During Tuesday's event, tables were festively adorn with books and building blocks to provide more than decoration and information. These books, with fun titles like, How Are You Peeling? were being donated by United Way to their Early Care and Education programs. learn more
