Clark University, under the distinguished leadership of President John Bassett and his wife Kay, demonstrates Orville’s commitment and service to the Central Massachusetts community. The University has taken action in the Main south Neighborhood, making it a safer, more vibrant community in which to live and raise a family. A Clark education encourages involvement at all levels, as demonstrated by the leadership shown by Kay in her role as Chair of the United Way Women’s Initiative.

Faculty , staff and students also strive to contribute something of value to the world in which they live. It is typical of Clark students to be engaged in a variety of projects that not only enhance their learning, but also make a difference in our local and global communities. Whether it be Jack Foley serving as President of Worcester Community Action Council or Professor Laurie Ross guiding Building Brighter Futures with Youth or Clark professors using the advanced technology of GIS mapping in assisting communities throughout Central Massachusetts – it is an inspiring and impressive body of effort and accomplishment.
