United Way Youth Venture of Central Massachusetts is excited to launch a program for youth ages 12-21 to initiate their own social ventures that benefit their community. In partnership with the YWCA and Dynamy Youth Academy of YOU, Inc., youth venture teams will receive training and tools to help build leadership, teamwork, and entrepreneurial skills. After an action plan process, teams will pitch their venture ideas to a Community Panel. If approved, teams will receive up to $1000 in seed money with continued support to successfully and sustainably launch their ventures. All teams are youth-created and youth-led.
The United Way Youth Venture program is a great opportunity for youth to gain access to a global network of like-minded youth and create positive change within the community! United Way Youth Venture believes that everyone is a change-maker. Through the program, youth will be able to address a wide variety of issues in creative, innovative, and sustainable ways.
United Way of Central Massachusetts’ Youth Venture Program mission is to inspire, fund, and support youth to take initiative and make positive change while learning valuable life skills such as leadership and teamwork. This is one of the many programs offered as part of the Community Services Program at United Way.
