Women of the Jazz Age: Weaving Their Story through Contemporary Voices

March is National Women’s History Month and this year the theme focuses on “[weaving] women’s stories - individually and collectively - into the essential fabric our nation’s history.”  Women’s Initiative is teaming up with WICN to explore pioneer women of the Jazz Age. Colors of Jazz Host Bonnie Johnson will showcase performances and stories with jazz and contemporary vocalists Joan Watson Jones and Nedelka Prescod. Women’s Initiative Chair Pamela Boisvert and Lois Smith will join in the conversation in studio.

WICN Public Radio has been a vibrant presence in the cultural life of Central Massachusetts and presents their 45th Anniversary Celebration on April 2nd at Mechanics Hall, Worcester.
