Spotlight on Projects Take a look at how volunteers
contributed during Day of Caring 2005!Growing Vegetables for Hunger Relief in Worcester
- 200 volunteers came together to harvest crops at the Community Harvest Farm with
all proceeds going to area shelters and food pantries.
Working Together to Better Our Community -
volunteers worked at Lakeside development of Worcester Housing Authority;
painting inside hallways, outside benches, and doors. (Hundreds of them!)
Reach Out and Read Project - 2 volunteers spent their
day reading to children in the Pediatric Waiting Room of Family Health Center.
Heifer Project International - Volunteers helped
construct
a Llama/Alpaca crate. This crate will be used for sheering llamas and alpacas and
also for treating health related issues.
