Annual Volunteer Center Events
|
Each year, the Volunteer Center at United Way of Central Massachusetts coordinates many events to promote volunteerism and leadership. In September, we host our Annual Day of Caring, the largest one-day volunteer drive in the entire region, where more than 1,000 people take to the streets of central Massachusetts to volunteer at dozens of locations for the day. Youth Make a Difference
The Volunteer Center strongly encourages youth to become engaged in their community and define leadership roles where they can make a difference. Each summer, a two-week Youth Leadership Institute is held. This innovative training program provides youth with the encouragement, peer networks and leadership skills necessary for them to make meaningful contributions to their communities and begin a life-long journey of leadership and service.
