United Way of Central Massachusetts' Community Service Program United Way is working to find and collaborate on projects that cannot be done without the valuable service of volunteers. Through Volunteer Services and the EITC Program, the Community Services Program is working to connect volunteers with valuable experiences and those in need with free skilled workers.

The Volunteer Services Program For 40 years, The Volunteer Services Program has been connecting new volunteers with non-profit organizations throughout Central Massachusetts. Through this program, local agencies, companies and volunteers are matched to complete projects and fulfill community needs. Referral of volunteers and groups of volunteers to local public and private not for profit agencies and institutions. Recruitment of volunteers through monthly listing in the Worcester Telegram and Gazette, at public libraries, on college campuses, in corporate newsletters and online. Technical Assistance of Volunteer management through consultations and seminars. Interaction with local and regional groups of volunteer managers. Advocacy for volunteerism and professionalism in volunteer management Specialized Services for the corporate community.
Day of Caring is one of the largest community volunteer events that is coordinated through United Way's Volunteer Service Program. This year's Day of Caring, gathered together over 950 volunteers who gave their time and service to make a visible difference throughout Central Massachusetts!
