Community Solutions Council

Volunteers watching out for the best interests of our community represent the United Way's Community Solutions Council. More than 100 volunteer leaders representing all walks of life make the decisions about how your contribution will be invested to make Central Massachusetts a healthy place to live and work.

The United Way's Community Solutions Council distributes to area organizations money raised through the annual campaign, from foundation income, and through grants. All funds are allocated through a volunteer - driven citizen-review process. This distribution of funds by trained and knowledgeable volunteers sets the United Way apart from other charities. Each year, nearly 300 volunteers participate in these activities.
